Our team:
The Genetics and Breeding group consists of people with complementary backgrounds in the broad field of Genetics, including statistics, plant biology, software development and external communication.
The diversity of our team allows us to identify and implement the optimal genetic and analytic approaches for the different research projects. This strengthens the quality of the genetic research we do for, and together with, our shareholders.
Our aim:
We aim at the advancement of the breeding programs of our shareholders through developing and implementing (marker-assisted) breeding tools. In more detail, our group provides advice on experimental design and phenotyping, performs advanced  genetic statistical analysis and facilitates the integration of results in the breeding programs of our shareholders. Our research leads to identification of the best individuals based on their phenotypic and/or genomic composition.
By doing so, we aim at contributing to a significant increase in the success of our shareholders’ breeding programs.
